Updates after a long weekend...
Somehow, I feel nice that nowadays I do get some time after all to blog..dunno till how long will this fizz last!
How the concept of 'Google doodle', 'free text ads' and others were pioneered and how google rose to meteoric stardom has indeed been very well chronicled in "The google story"...Really the 30 somethings Sergey Brin and Larry Page deserve it!
K-Pax is really an amazing movie with flawless acting by Kevin Spacey. Kevin Spacey’s "Prot" is a wonderfully understated character with the gentle, knowing presence of an outsider who understands. It is his very calmness and seeming omnipotence that make his emotional outbursts, when they come, that much more intense and painful for audiences. He brings to the story the delicate sense of ironic humanity that comes from someone who may not actually lay claim to being human.
K-Pax is a very intriguing film. Is Prot (Kevin Spacey) really an alien, or is he a mentally deranged human who just thinks he is an alien? That is the question that Dr. Powell (Jeff Bridges) must answer before the self proclaimed deadline that Prot sets for his departure from Earth.
Watched India answer(s) to Oscars for 2006...Rang de basanti...In fact the interspersed real-life stories between the movie shown in TV really touched me and have forced me to introspect "what have I done till date to make a difference to the life of somebody or for that matter to anybody of my brethren,what?" Have I become so self-centered and materialistic? After all I have just one life to live...Shouldn't we as the denizens of our country take up some responsibility too?
Lage Raho Munnabhai was also a good watch...Riding high on the success of its predecessor Munnabhai MBBS, Sanjay Dutt has pulled off another hit. And not only that it has also brought in the lingo of 'Gandhigiri' into the forefront. I wouldn't be surprised if it manages to find its way to the Oxford English dictionary.
